nice project man! Im really liking the cage design!

my cussin did the same thing while we were driving my T in a construction zone. he sent my T down the service road and into traffic I nearly fainted! then asked him what he was thinking and he told me it was going so fast he was afraid to stop it lol!

I took the pieces of the shocks. Should i put hte links back to how they where? Should i put some stock tlt shocks on till i get softer springs. I didnt cut the yokes. I did just notice that when i turn the wheels the yokes wobble. I only have 1 set screw in it. I might have to order more.

You told be last night that you drilled the yokes. What part did you drill? If you drilled out the part that slips over the output shaft you may have a problem. Especially if the hole is to big. You shouldn't have to do that. You do have to demel off some material where it butts up against the tranny case. I guess I should have moded the shafts before I sent them. I am not sure but I think you can use Stampede yokes with those universals and shafts. You may have to buy some if those are messed up now.

You can tip the rear axle some towards the transmission because you have no rear steer. But you should put the front axle back to where it was.

You can cut a couple coils off those springs until you get softer springs. This will drop the ride height a bit. But I wouldn't get to carried away until you get your tires on there. Your tire to fender clearance will determain where your ride height needs to be. The truck definatly needs softer springs to get some droop. They are fully extended right now at ride height because of the stiff springs. This is going to make the truck ride like a pogo stick.

If all your looking to do is blast around the yard just bolt on the stock TLT shocks. Mount them in the middle holes on the shock mounts.

I did what you said and took the motor out. THe yokes wouldnt fit over the output shaft, so i drilled it out a little bit. I just took them off and noticed why they wabble. It was because the output shaft thingy was to short and the set screws wherent really on, so then i filed them down and there is almost know binding.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics

Ya, can't see much from your pics. Put it back together and see if it rolls without the motor.

These are custom rigs and not always easy. If it where easy everyone would be building one.

Bow it in the middle a little. In other words bend it in the middle a little from front to back. It is a little tough but it will come out. You can trim the notches around the two side bars to make it easier. I took it out 4-5 times without a problem.

Just be careful once everything is painted that you don't scratch the chassis. You can put some tape on the bars while you put it in. The cover will slide on the tape rather than your fresh paint.

I ordered the wrong rims fo rthe second time and i just hung these on for the pic. I painted the bodyred, and i forgot to mask the windows. The body came with white windows that i think was for masking them off but i used them like this.
