| Ready to take down MRC's
Ok I've got this dialed in now and ready to compete against the MRC's on Sunday. These are the updates. narrowed/reduced M2K's mounted with 3oz of weight in fronts. 20Wt shock oil all around. Change in performance better vertical and sidehill climbing. I think the sidehilling is due to the wider tranny that gives a low COG spread across the chassis. I'll update the results on Sunday and try to get someone to take better pics |

Thanks! I'll be getting a Proline 1/18 bug body soon. No issues as far as weight. It's just that hard body looks like it went through an entire season after one day Here's the updates from yesterdays run. After running the 1.9 tlt yesterday at the Crawl space I'm pretty happy with it. The only issue I found was the need for more wheel speed and I needed fuller foam, due to the tires folding to much. All the weight down low with the TLT axles plus the ax10 tranny made it nice and stable even running the stock AX10 chassis. Articulation was good and controlled running full droop and 20wt oil. When I got home I replaced the tire foams and pulled lines I do with my 2.2 comp rig; minus a few ledges and holes. Can't wait to comp with this in two weeks. | |

Looking good. I am running on cut down TLT's myself. I am using a Delrin Shaft D chassis that I picked up cheap. I'm running an R2 tranny in mine which is a little noisy, but with a 13T puller motor and 12t pinion I have plenty of wheel speed. I recently changed by tires and wheels making it climb a lot better. I am finding that I need to add some weight to the front though as I have trouble breaking over some times. I like it because you have think more about how to correct issues. Rather than just go buy a part and bolt it on. I think when I finally get it dialed in I should be pretty competitive. One of the biggest challenges has been getting the CG as low as I would like. Keep up the good work . |

Nice rig!!!!!!!! I think these cut down tlt rigs are going to knock a lot of MRC's off the podium. I know what you mean concerning the COG. Before I ran on Sunday I added 3oz of weight to each front wheel and it made a difference. I may add RCP lockers front and rear to get more weight down low and bullet proof the drive train. |
