Default My Scaler

Ok so I just got my parma tundra body that i was planing on using for my scale class rig. I don't know as of right now but i think i might be using a hilux body..

Ok i built my own leafs for the front.

I made to sets of leafs the first ones were to small. I made bigger ones and am now going to use the small set for a 1/4 eliptical setup. I don't know if it will work but its worth a try.

Im going to use 5/16 brake line for the frame rails and 1/4 for the exo cage.

What do you all think ablut using 1/4 eliptical for the front suspension?

it might unload on the passenger side giving you torque twist, but then it may be just fine. get that thing done before the 8th!

I was kind of thinking about leaving the bed on and make a full exo around the cab and bed, but i don't know yet if i can find a regular non cab over bed then i will do it. We will have to see.

Anyone got a standard bed with out a cover??

Dan..

Now the build starts.

Thumbs up

Those leafs looks pretty tight* (tight: slang for outstanding, wonderful) I would leave the body off and do the cage around. Man I really like the way the Yoda"s turn out. Good luck!

No im going to use the cab but not the bed. I will do a full exo to save the 80's body from getting pounded. I jsut cant decide what to do with the back its either leave the bed on or take it off and make an exact scale repo. of my 1:1 rig.

What kind of steel are the leafs made out of? And how did you make the spring eyes? Look great!

i think that the tire clearance you have here should work just fine for ya! all of this is being TIG'd together, not done with the MIG, right?

correct scoot.. im finding tig to be pretty easy.. Will really easy if you have a good jig to hold pieces. And i did just that i buttyfabed a jig up.

For the tire clearence i will still get some swamp dogs or mashers. If i get mashers i will narrow them.
