Default tlt axles...think theyll hold?

Bahhh humbug was doin some searching and found that tlt's might not work for my build:( building a formula offroad rig thats gonna be runnin 2.2 paddles on a rc4wd tranny with 3 motor options have a 12 turn traxxas motor, a 27 turn axial motor(not sure if itll have enough wheel speed), or a 8 turn novak havok. All would be run on a 2s lipo...what do you guys think i should do??? Dont really have any kinda budget right now and only other axles ive got are losi's worm gear axles which i know for a fact wont have near enough wheel speed *tear* what to do what to do...hmmmm:?

I think the worm gear would wear out pretty fast at speed.

TLTs woudl prob hold, though I have not built a racer with them.

You would want an RCP locker in it. Much more tooth contact.
Prob go with RC4WD straight axle or MIPs, also.
Could also throw an axle truss over the top for beef.

In that order of spending your cash.

Weakest link after all that would be the drive pins or axle splines.

I just got loaded tlt in a trade and it looked way beefer than my axial axles, so It'll hold good. Inside the axles were RCP tlt lockers, RCP tlt cvds (just looks like TTR cvd for clods) , RCP tlt knucles and Rc4wd tlt rear straight adapter. Basically bombproof!!! Go for it if you got that cash.

Good luck keeping them together ;) but since it's all you have, go for it.

As long as they're lubed & shimmed properly, TLT's will take a lot of abuse. Go for it.
