Default Searched, read through 200 posts with no luck

I remember reading through a post before on locking the pede trans. But I know jbweld, and glue but i remember reading bout cutting one of the nubs off where the gears rest so that they just mesh. Anyone got any info on this.

Thats what I did.

Use a dremel and grind down the nubs in the diff and let all the gears sit flush with each other.

Don't grind the nubs completely down, but low enough for the gears to mesh, with each other and both outputs. I may have some pics on my digicam of the final product.

It is plenty strong. Right now my fuse (most probable breaking point) seems to be the "reversed gear in diff method of locking the TLT axle". Somehow when I really get on my TLT, that seems to slip out first.

i quick steeled it, was gonna just do the gear but realized with the way i beat on **** that it had nothing to hold it down in place, so the quicksteel works

I used quicksteel too. The way I see it, something that hard (as long as you let it set) will not let gears move. you'd strip a gear before you blew out your locked diff.

Actually I bet the star that holds the gears will snap first. I've busted them in both front and rear of my RBX. I heard something rattling around and took them apart to investigate and then I removed the broken part and re-assembled. They are now lighter and still holding up.
