you could file the end down to size so it fits the stock trans, i have done this to both ends of thunder tiger ssk dogbones (they were free) so it was a cheap way to extend the wheelbase with stock trans fitted it is 10inches at moment. (awaiting pede tranny)

Heres a diagram of the dogbone/yoke

So is the black part A-3083 on that diagram on the Stormer Hobbies site? I want to buy a pair of them!

Just wanted to say thanks for everyone's tips. I layed the shocks back, fixed the front steering link, and triangulated the rear links (working on front links, but custom mount needed). Here are some pics, the spray can is the same from the first pics, just for reference.

Don't you mean the wheels are the HPI SS Monster Rear Wheels in black (yours look like they are pretty deep dish and six spokes)?

...aaargh, Towerhobbies has several of their wheel pictures with the wrong description and part number looks like...

JB Weldin my front and rear diffs right now! What's your wheelbase at in your current setup?

You could be right about the wheels, tower has the same pic for multiple items....

My wheelbase is 11-1/4 inches.

Thanks, LOL...Tower and their pictures...usuallly they are pretty good about that...gotta watch them on their measured dimensions sometimes too.

WB 11.25" hmmm dang I was hoping for 12" even...about to attach my axles with Traxxas T-Maxx 106mm for uppers and 96mm for the lower links.

The links are not the same on the front and back. The tranny is a little forward in the chassis to make room for the spur. And my drive shafts are a fixed length.

I tried Tmaxx links #5139 118mm, and #5138 108mm, to start out but the rear drive shaft wasnt long enough. So the links out back are now #2338 96mm and #5138 108mm

I'll make them equal once I can adapt some sliders

Losi lists these as for the XX, not the XXX-T. Do you know if they will actually work in the XXX tranny as well - ie same diameter?

got the parts and got it almost all together then broke one of the losi sliders.

i used the molded outdrive set (a-3095) with the male ends of the XL driveshafts (a3025) then slid those into the female end of traxxes sliders to get a little more length and to attach to the axle, I'm sure you could drill out the traxxes yoke at the axle and use the full losi sliders if you wanted to.

The only problem I see with this is my driveshafts are now 90 degrees out of phase, hopefully this won't be a problem at slow speed.

Hey there's a piece of dirt on the tire in that last pic......LOL

I actually sold the truck a few weeks ago right after I got all the kinks out. I'm working on another rig with shock towers as the chassis, and possibly the motor mounted on the servo running a drive shaft to the trans...we'll see I might just mount the trans with the motor on the bottom and outputs on top??

But yeah, wheelin's way more fun than wrenchin....

Did you have to do any modding to the chassis to make it fit? If so what did you have to do?

I actually switched to smaller lighter battery packs. There 2/3 AA 6 cell packs for the Associated RC18MT.
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMWC4&P=7

I mounted over the front servo. As far as not flexing, take all your shocks off and move the suspension around to look for binding.
