Default first tlt build

im building my first tlt crawler. heres a parts list:

TLT axles, locked w/ jb weld
Associated stealth tranny
integy 55t motor
Moab 2.2's
t maxx driveshafts
Associated shocks

not sure what electronics yet, and i plan on building a custom chassis

i've got a few questions though, i did a search but i couldnt find a detailed thread of how to put traxxas sliders on the stealth tranny, anyone know how?

and are the traxxas ball joints enough flex for the suspension links??

thanks guys, go easy on me its my first!

Default Heh heh heh, he said balls.

Try using the tamiya ball ends with the traxxas balls. Metric vs standard, the traxxas balls are a little loose, but youll get extra smooth flex.

Sometimes the traxxas ball ends are really tight. On my revo links they were real nice and smooth, but generally I will insert an allen wrench into the ball and really work it around to get the kinks out. I also do the tamiya ball ends plus the traxxas balls.

For the electronics, I'd look at the tekin rebel 2.

ahh yes, another stealth tranny. well, what you do is, take those big ol' maxx yokes, drill them out till there just about right, then squeeze them right over those outputs. then you can fassen them or whatever you feel.

I recently asked the same question. I'm using a Losi trans in my truck but if you look at post #12 in this thread: Need Help with planning out my first Truck
This is a picture of Flatfenders crawler using the T-Maxx shafts mated to an Associated Stealth tranny.

If you decide to drill or modify the stealth outputs then get ready for some fancy language and a lot of worn drill bits.
