I purchased a Nitro Stampede transmission off of ebay for $10.50. I made a motor mount out of scrap aluminum and purchased everything else I needed from the lhs. All total I spent about $20. Of course it was more work than just buying a 272, but it does come standard with ball bearings, and it was super cheap. The seller ( integrajspec ) has been listing these pretty consistently for the past month. http://putfile.com/pic.php?pic=1/1013480939.jpg&s=x12

I can't believe nobody is manufacturing the bracket. With electric pede trannys getting more and more difficult to find.

Nice job. Is it any smaller than the electric tranny? Looks like It may take up less space.

Sorry I dont have an electric to compare it to, but the transmission pictured measures 3 3/4 " long, 2 5/8" tall, and about 3 1/2 " deep ( including the motor and main shaft). I did find a few Traxxas transmission plates that look like they might work including the SRT's ( part # 2390 ), but I never tried them. Has anyone?
