Default Custom TLT Rock Buggy

Well did some work on my tlt rock buggy and got the shocks mounted and i still have to put the electric in it and then i can take it for a test drive on the rocks.

i want to use 4ws but its not a loud in the comp. rules so i'll just use 2ws for the comp.

i'm going to sleeve the links when i get paid this week and buy a esc and now lets get to the pics.

specs. are:
custom tube frame
pede tranny (locked)
tlt axles (locked)
novak rooster esc
intgey 55t lathe motor (on back order)
wheelbase---12.25
width---10.75
ground clerance---3.25

three words: way too tall. Those driveshaft angles are worse than my truggy. Tubers need to be low. Why not cut off the tranny & link mount portion and lower the rest of the tube chassis till the tranny almost hits the roof of the cab. Then lower the whole thing by making some shock mounts that sit above the current mount to lower the COG. Just my 2 cents

i agree. too tall. the battery is the heaviest thing in the chassis. it should be as low as possible.

when i get the softer springs and put the elec. in it and i'm think i'll put the the battery on the back axle to help keep the weight done when it crawls.

Did some night crawlin at a spot behind my work to test the tlt rock buggy out. It did ok still have to work on the suspension and waiting on the new springs to get here and i'm going to lower it about 1/2" to 3/4" in., going to put bb in the tires to help keep it on the ground.

Theclodking-- i'm using plastic 1/16 scale diamond plate from the hobby shop

here is a pic of the spot i crawl at behind my work it's really good for 2.2 scale rigs

well i'm going to cut the bottom part off and lower it, like (rckjeep) suggested, because when i took it for a test run it flipped a couple times to it's side and link mounts are going to be mounted like "rckjeep truggy" so i can use the same setup for the links that i have and this will be strated on sunday and i'll post pics that night.

It looks better but I agree with RCJeep cut off the bottom and raise the tranny and do a laydown style mount and then you will be set.
