nice looking track!!
First off, if you can't make it thru gatekeeper without issue, you'll never make it thru the box. Second, they dynamited the gatekeeper a few months ago. It's all gravel now.

gatekeeper blasted

i made it in no problem/ i just did some major damage on the old sluice & more on the big sluice coming back to spider lake from rubicon springs.

i bent my tie rod & 3 of my leaf springs & also had rear driveshaft issues.
so when i was on my way out the gatekeeper i had to go over a rock the size of my jeep because i couldnt turn sharp eneough to go around at an angle/
then the rear driveshaft blew/transfer case mounts broke/blew front u-joint in axle/then did some motor damage to to some high revving trying to get off.
i heard something about the gatekeeper//thats lame!!

They are just 2.2 crawlers, you can build one yourself.

Where do you buy the foam panels? How much do they cost?

Nice trucks. How did you like that chassis? I am going to start my TLT build here pretty soon and I am thinking about that chassis. I just want something pretty simple yet capable of pushing the limits.

Ya, I am thinking about using the rbx and revo pushrods for links, or maybe the 1:1 threaded throttle linkage for for the 4-link setup.

Im not sure if the revo pushrods will be too long or not. I realy think I am going to go with the rbx, especialy after I read the rccrawler.com tlt build.

How is it balanced with the 50/50? Also, where is your battery? I have a 3/4cell pack that I might use.

Revo links too long tried that to. Made my own links with 8/32 all thread and brake lines. I use 2/3 cells 3 on each side of the front servo plus weight in the tires. I'm also 4ws.

Randy you make a nice chassis I'm thinking of adapting pair of x-factor axles to your chassis with a pede tranny what do you think.

I just tried the same thing with a set of TXT-1 axels. I was running a 11 pinion and a 94 spur gear with a 55T motor. It was not geared high enough to spin the big wheels over big rocks. It needs like a GD-600 to make it work.

Your not going to see pictures of them at RCX. They were built for RCP Tracks to sell to Goodyear as a package with the foam crawling course John at RCP Tracks made.

It was a Goodyear promotional thing, hopefully we see the whole setup again at another Goodyear booth.

DANG!!!!!! I was talking to a friend of mine about custom rock crawling set ups like you see at 1:1 comps a few weeks ago. I even said we could do that hard covered foam!!!!! I just don't have enough free time to build and work and be on this computer keeping up!!!!!! I am missing all kinds of cool stuff!!!!!!!!!!!

I was thinking of instead of 55t maybe a 45t or a 35 turn to push the big tires with a pede tranny. I like your chassis it is a run what you have chassis. No adjustments just flat out rock crawling. It easy to build links to and have a comp crawler.

Thanks, There is a chart for gear ratio in the TXT fourm with some thought and research I know it can be dome. I think the next test will have the mounting for the shocks on the outer links and use a slider to get the right adjustment with E/T Maxx shocks.

RCP Tracks does not have a rock crawling course that is for sale yet. There are a bunch of manufacturing obstacles that need to be overcome first. Hopefully in the near future one will be available.

How well did these drive? I am seriously thinking of putting together a crawler and like the way these look. Seems they are nearly bullet proof in design and probably put together at a nice budget price. If I wanted to make a copy for myself, would you be willing to help me with part #'s and specifics on link length and such (shock oil weights is another thing I don't know enough about for a crawler)? I don't have any plans to run competition or anything like that, just want something that I can bash around with and take to Folsom Lake or the local park with my girls.
