That 8x8 was too cool. We decided to ban the 8x8 from competitions due to the fact that it worked too good. He then built the 6x6...that was banned as well. Now he's kicking our butts with his Dork Star Prototype rig

Is this a CrashFab edition of a free-floating chassis

W ell I really want to build a tuber or truggy but its just too much investment in time right now and when that time comes I will just buy another TLT so I can keep mine going.. But after playing with different things to calm down toque twist I decided I wanted to try to get my COLG even lower so it doesn't make it worse and of course like always I go overboard

Here is how it started...

Let the fun begin

One thing I was worrdied about was the fact I had removed the outer mounts on the pede tranny so I could fit it into the stock TLT chassis. I just ended up drilling the tranny and taping it for 3mm bolts and it turned out perfect thank god...

I was able to sink the stock TLT battery down into the chassis a little deeper than the stock TLT chass which I was happy about.... But there is the finished product. If I get time this week I am going to pull it down and knock a few more holes in it to lighten it up as much as I can..

Now that looks MUCH better

Got a few more things left and it should be ready to test....

Very nice, I wish I have your patience to fab a chassy. Bender really influenced you a lot. It looks like his SW2.

Thanks.. Ya it took some time and after spending I would say 3-4 hours of just searching/looking I was VERY influenced by Benders chassis plates (any of you with no paitence definately buy his stuff ).. But all in all this setup just makes perfect sense....

O so your building it up before you give it to me

Sweet build though. I plan on doing a normal ladder frame with skids and stuff similar to rckjp's truggy...pretty much copy his build with my little touchs added like the same rear end but with plates on it and little scale details to break off on the trail. Id love to show you my backyard...its two big shale, rock, sage brush canyons that has everything from mud to sand rocks to bush's....thats at our new house. My backyard right now has tons and tons of granite stairs and walls and its crawling heaven..ill show ya a pic sometime..when i get aorund to it. instead of me heading to goldendale with my 1:1 you should hit up my backyard with you 1:10

Here are the new limiting straps. Since the belly of the chassis went from 2.5 to 3" the old ones were a tad too short, lol. They are made from 1/16" cable and I used portions of a 16-18 guage wire crimp connector to make the loop.

And here they are mounted

Right... Your son wanted to go play in the snow. We all have the same sickness, RCC is like a AA meeting, just admit you have a problem and keep posting pictures
