Default project "search button",my TLT Chevy

This is my first attempt at a crawler. All the info I gathered for the build I gathered using the search function. All my questions were answered just by searching.Amazing what the search button can do! Since it was my first build I wanted to keep it as cheap as possible. It took several weeks of searching for parts but I finially got it done, for under $270.The deals are out there if you have the patience.I have only had it out in the yard but so far I'm impressedwith it.There are some things I want to experiment with but for now I like it. Can't wait to get out on some real stuff.

The specs:

TLT chassis(highly modified) ,3" wide with 1/4"cutting board skid
Pede tranny laid down(locked)
TLT axles(locked)
Traxxas T-Maxx shocks with Losi springs
Masher 2k's
Traxxas Sledgehammer wheels with Traxxas adapters (THANKS TO rocodile)
Traxxas sliders and yokes
Traxxas ball ends with home made links
TQ3 (for future rear steer)
55t lathe with 12t pinion and 87t spur
XRS
Hites 645MG
Chevy body
11.75"wb
11.25" wide
2.75"ground clearance

Now the pics:
I know in the frst pic the body post is messed up.Its fixed now.

Looks real good! I see you're running the traxxas wideners, how are those working out? Any breakage or wobbling?

Very nice work, I am especially proud of the fact that you used the search button and made it very known to all the n00b's that you did. That is what makes this site so great, so much knowledge and info if you just take the time to look for it.

Great build, can't wait to see a video of it in action.

Thanks for the comps.Had to show the nOObs and the young ones that anything is possible with a little "research".And also to use proper grammar and spelling.

Working out great so far but I haven't really "tested" them yet.No wobble at all.Just took my time and made sure everything was straight.

Thanks again for the comps.I've had it out the past couple of days and boy is this thing fun! I'm hooked!!
Played areound with the foams today and found a set up I like.I origionally had the foams cut in half and then cut into a 8 pt star shap.Way too soft. The tire would roll over on itself.Today I just put in half foams with a rounded edge and they work soo much better.
rocpede- will already have a few scratches when I show up .
83 chevy- the rims are traxxas sladgehammer with traxxas adapters.Got them at Towers.
bigred-wish the body was a bit lower but I had to compromise between hacking up the body and having it sit as low as possible and still look stock.

Now my son wants me to build him one.
