Default Stock TLT knuckle bushings?

Mods, move this if you need...

Are the stock plastic bushings in the knuckles cheap pieces of feces? The tires are getting pretty wobbly because the stub axle is moving around. Is this a common problem? The bushing races in the knuckle look ok; they don't appear to be streched out or anything. Is stepping up to bearings worth it, or should I look for some more of the metal axle bushings and toss those in there instead?

Definately go bearings, but keep the bushings so you can slap em in if you want to play in the mud/water.

Ok. Those plastic bushings look like they are a two piece design, and the inside piece is wallowed out. I'll SEARCH and find out what size bearings I need for those knuckles; unless someone knows off hand...

5x11 mm 20 of them will do both axles on a tlt.

rbgerrish sells them in the vendor forum. 20 for $19.95 I think.

Looks like it's time to take a gander at the vendors forum... Thanks!

Yeah, the plastic ones are junk. I had some brass bushings from another car that I installed, and now after a year and a half the wheels have some play in them.

Didn't know rbgerrish sold the bearings. I know whose going to be $20 richer very soon.
