I just finished building up the jefferson and it has a horrible amount of torque twist. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to combat this? Here is this link to my build if this helps - Jefferson 2.2 Build

triangulate your lowers links more. Where they mount at the chassis you need to bring them into the center more. Also to what the other's said, try to ge the shocks a little more verticle....but try triangulating the lowers more first. You get less axle sway as well. The axle will piviot right in the center not sway off to the side when it articulates.

Your links are fine just fine tune your shocks. I run 75wt oil in mine but I run MGT shocks. Also try putting 1 size heavier spring on the left rear. It will do wonders. You might have to make standoffs of the back of the chassis to stand the rear shocks upright more. I did that to mine and it resolved the issue. If I remember to grab the camera from my moms house tomorrow I will take some pics to show you what I'm talking about.

There is a large difference in the way the truck works when you put the shocks in the lower hole. Try the upper hole before you change anything else.

I have no clue on stock oil. I use 60-75wt depending on my truck but for springs most long truck associated and losi springs work. Just make sure the springs are for the back shocks of what they normally came on because most stadium trucks and such used shorter front shocks and springs.

Torque twist.. what a battle. Just look at what people have said. I know for me its finding whats "acceptable" torque twist. On the rocks its good. When on level ground and I nail the gas the chassis does twist a tad and is worse on uphill climbs but I am to the point to where I am going to leave it....

Both Kaetwo and me are (and have been for months now) running plastic emaxx shocks with stock springs with 45W oil. (shocks both mounted on top and also on the bottom hole) We are running 55t lathes and 87x14 gearing. We haven't experienced any torque twist out of the ordinary... actually just a slight lift when going up and over a steep ledge or obstacle. Check out our latest video to see how much ours torque-mine has the orange hummer SUT body and Kaetwo’s has the zebra paint: UTRCRC Red Rock Run 03-06 Is this your first shaft driven crawler? If you have come from a clod or this is your first crawler it may seem like a lot of torque... but "Horrible" sounds like it is an issue. Maybe Motor and gearing is affecting it adversely.

yes it is my first crawler. i think it also might have something to do with the motor i am runnning, it is entirely too fast.
