OK this is reworked again. This will take .58" off the bottom and flatten the belly I may in the end give it a slight curve but not much maybe .08" added curve to the center area. Like I said not much.

Hey Tuufguy have you thought about running the stock TLT standoffs I believe they are 2" instead of the 3" ones that came with the chassis. That might help your truck abit not having the super wide chassis.

Have you found any other problems with the chassis?

No other problems to speak of other than the width, just a little wide for tlt's.
I was going to use the tlt standoffs that manicmagoo suggested but I am too lazy.
But, I did something to the chassis, see if you can spot it.

cardboard cookie to the first one who gets it right.

You drilled a hole in the center of the bottom of the chassis plate.

You also shaved some off of the bottom.

Wasn't really talking bout the hole in the center but you are right.
shaved, or "TUMMY TUCKED" the middle as the "cool" nylint kids say
Made a world of difference, I also ditched the tranny mount and use some 1/4 delrin as a skid, lowered the tranny.
It changed the breakover alot, alot more than I thought it would

I will add delrin to fill in the back half if I see a need. (already have it cut)
It really slids over the rocks now.

And I didn't even need to send another test chassis out to you.
Well that is what the official Chassis will look like. I will have a little bit of a round to the bottom but as mentioned before verry little.

I've been looking for a place to buy derlin local any thoughts on places to look?

I have made all necessary adjustments to the chassis thanks to all of the testers input. They will be available in about a week.

The first 4 to order will get it for $40.oo

Thanks
I found some locally that will cut it to size and the price is good also.
It's also a thicker than the 1/4" on ebay, and cheaper than the ebay one.
I appreciate the info though. Nice to have someone look for me.

Hey double, if you use thicker than 1/4 inch that is going to raise the tranny and motor up more which is not good, the stuff I am using is 1/2 inch and I think it is too thick. You don't need it to be thick with how your chassis is built, Imo.
Just my .02

I't wont be quite 1/2" it will be 3/8". That will be thick enough to mount the chassis to it and use it as a skid, then sand or bevel the edges to match the chassis sence it has a slight curve to it. Should work well.
I probably cut a little more off the bottom than you have on yours and moved the mounting holes to keep the chassis at a low CG. This will be very adjustable to suit the needs of those who will purchase it.
And as a side note I still have 2 avaible at the discounted price. They will be ready to ship by this weekend (4/14/06).
