Default dual duty rock crawler?

Hi, I came up with a new project idea and I decided I want to make a fourwheel drive offroad truck to double as a crwler. I plan on using tlt axles and a rustler tranny with a nova tranny. What should I use for a chassis and how shoul i do the suspension? Any help would be great. thank you!

Um, try searching a bit? There are a bunch of threads discussing topics just like this. Also look in the newbie forum as well. That might save you bit of flaming.

Ofna and several other companies make very thick grease specifically for this purpose. This thick grease allows some diff movement but not unless the other wheel is near locked position. I tend to prefer to lock the rear and use the grease in the front of my crawler.

As for what to use for a chassis what is your goal? Do you want a prefabricated kit? Self built? Side plate set up? Realistic with frame rails? Lay down or stand up tranny? Take a look at the scale pics and see what trucks you like and then decide what features of each you like.

The best truck for you is not always the one that wins the competition, it is the one you have the most fun driving.
