It was actually pretty easy to mount those wheels on there... All I did was take the hex drive nuts off the MG and ground them down until they snuggly fit into the mini-t wheels where the bearing goes. I then CA'd the newly shaped drive nuts into the wheel and have had no problems with it. The wheels are all fronts. The tires are a stretch to fit onto the wheels but they work. I'm getting some bigger tires that will fit on those wheels soon and a gear reduction unit like Black magic has... ANd a new chassis. Thanks for the compliments... Adam |

I extended the dogbones by first cutting them in half and taking some really nice heavy wall aluminum tubing I found at the HS and drilling out the tubing so that the end of the dogbone just slides in the tubing and JB Weld the heck out of it... Just make them to the length ya need. Good luck with the modding on your MG, let us know how it goes... PICS |

I've been running those JB'd dogbones for about 2 months now... They seem very strong, I checked them quite often when I first did that mod and after a while I just quite cause they never broke loose from the tubing so it must be pretty strong.

Just be careful not to bend them ;) They have alot of torsional strength but I was adjusting my gearbox height and wasn't paying attention and bent one of mine. |
