This was my first rig. Built , not bought. Now, I don't have anything against bought rigs.. This was just back in the day when such rigs and parts weren't so readily available.. I have an Ascender that is my main rig and love.

Tlt's, Diaz chassis all cut up. Beat down Tamiya Bronco body. Just gonna throw some extra parts at it and see what I come up with.

I'd love to build an old school tlt but I'm afraid of trying to find parts.

So, started on the ol' TLT...

It's not going to be as "scale" as it once was, but, it'll be linked. Should perform a little better.

These tires are 1.7's on 1.9 wheels. Not sure if I am going with this look. Looks pretty damn big.. lol

Oh, it looks like a little stink bug in the back because I haven't set up the rear links yet. Need to still make sure wheelbase is correct with the small Tamiya body.

Glad to see these axles still kicking. They are what started the whole scaler thing for me. Still have a box stock one here I run around the house in the winter chasing the cats.

My other one in action - one of my best wheeling trucks

Little more work done. Pretty much good to go. Gotta clean up wiring.

This was after repainting.

And, getting lights all hooked up..

I did all this, and, then I looked at the mangled body of the Bronco. I bought a new body so, I may have to take all the lighting off of that old Body and put on the new. lol. Or, just buy another set of lights.. lol Also, waiting on some tires and wheels.. The wheel combo on the rig now is no good. Looks to weird to me.

Anyone still here? I haven't been around here in years, but recently started dusting off my RC storage boxes in the garage.

I got into crawlers when the TLT first came out before the new fancy kits. Have built 4 or 5 of them over the years but sold them all off. Kept one and now wishing I had kept the others.

Found some old pics of my previous rigs. Hope the pics load. I seem to be a born again newbie to forums. haha

and my current rig...
