Thanks! I am thoroughly impressed w/ the RD XL4 chassis I'm testing! This thing is nearly as light as the minimalist chassis that have been built the last month or so. And it's very strong as well!

Cleaned up the Grunt after the comp and slapped a set of M2K's w/ single narrowed Pede wheels and RC4WD rock rings. Here are a few pics.

I like the chassis... especially the wide body mount bars. Is that made of Delrin? If so can you get that thickness in black so you don't have to dye it? I can't decide on the servo mount but you guys know more about chassis design than I do. I am definately interested in this chassis though! I was thinking of the Stealth trans in a modified stock chassis like in another thread I saw here. I am just a trail rig guy but I would consider purchasing a chassis.

Thanks for the compliments. The material isn't Delrin! It is an extremely light, stiff, and strong plastic composite. This is an awesome chassis, and it's only the prototype! It has alot of potential and is an awesome comp chassis. I'm sure as strong as it is, that it will make a great basher as well!

The body mounts are EXTREMELY beefy! I replaced them w/ lighter ones on my comp rig. They too should hold up well to bashing! It has enough room to mount ANY commonly used tranny. Stealth, Losi, and the Evader tranny are tiny and very easy to mount. The Pede will also slip right in as well, the chassis was designed to accept it as the standard tranny.

Good luck and can't wait to see your crawler on the rocks!

Must be some really fancy composite material for the chassis then!

Well in my quest for more power and obsession to drop weight from my comp rig, I purchased a brushless set up from Johnrobholmes. First less me say that JRH is on the ball when it comes to his products. All of my questions were answered promptly. And he had it shipped out very quickly.

Now on the Revolver. This this is tiny compared to the 55T Integy lathe that I had been using and it weighs about half as much. I can't wait to get it installed and get it on the rocks! Here are a few shots to compare size and weight in ozs. and grams!

Weighed a XXXT tranny w/ the Revolver installed and it weighed 7.2 oz.! That's only an oz. heavier that the Lathe motor by itself!

Not sure I'm going to be there as of yet.:? Wife's school schedule might prevent me from attending. And I'm loving the XL4! As for the Clod, I already have a NN. My next Clod chassis will be a Stick.

1/10 scale Crowd Pleaser from Pro Line for a Traxxas Jato. Small for a 1/10 scale body, which is why I like it!
