Default Ideas for maxx shock top mounts?

I'm sure this is covered somewhere, but my imagination could not come up with the right search terms to find it.

I'm looking for ideas on how to mount the top of the maxx shocks to the chassis that will allow a bit of flex. I found one idea that used silicone fuel line over a 3mm bolt, but I'm wondering if there is a better method. Has anyone tried rod end balls?

Do they snap in and stay in place like they do in rod ends?

Maybe you could, hack off the top of the shock and screw in a ballend.

Get these shocks... http://cgi.ebay.com/Billet-threaded-...QQcmdZViewItem

They have ballends on the top and bottom. They come in grey and red aluminum. Email him and he will give you a better price on 2 pairs.

thoso shocks on ebay are a steal of a deal! I use them on all my builds. Silky smooth with no after taste.

I have 8 t-maxx shocks that work just fine and do not want to buy anything else - I just want to find a nice clean way to mount them that doesn't cause binding. The ball endss turned out to be bad advise. The plastic the shocks are made from does not flex like rod ends. I split the top of one of my shocks trying to press in a ball end. I think I'm just going to go with the fuel line idea.
