| Suicide Sally build
I built this rig a number of years back. Burnt out the electronics, and didn't touch it for some time. It's been calling to me, telling me to build it back up. So little by little, that is what I have done. The original cage was not built right. It sat to tall, and made the thing very top heavy. I broke out the old torch, and added new shock hoops front and rear, and did some hacking at the old cage to make everything work. Got the body, and new electronics in yesterday. After making a pile of body parts that won't be used, I ended up with a nice hood section, that fits fairly well on the new hoops. TLT axles, bender customs chassis, custom made tube cage, hot bodies shocks, HPI electronics, wrangler hood, 2.2 moabs on some black 8 holes, 4 link axle truss in the rear, hd servo mount in the front. Spy pics from the office. More pics to come as I get to painting, and possibly scale interior. Last edited by badfrank; 03-25-2011 at 03:15 PM. |

Old pics Old paint looking nice. Old setup flexin out It just wasn't right. The suspension was all wrong. The stance was to tall. The rig was top heavy, and ready to roll on the smallest obstacles. So, she was stripped down, and sand blasted. Time to start reworking her body. Molding a usable 2.2 tuber buggy. |

lookin good! Suicide Sally would probably be the first 1:1 rig I ever saw replicated in the crawler world... and for good reason! It's an amazing machine! Good work

Good idea for you. I have the same TSL's and when I put them in they would get little dipets in them, so i cut the foams and they work a whole lot better now. Just my $0.02.
