| Its all Unimogers fault, Now finished 5/2
I blame the fact that I now have another tlt on Ben j/k with ya Ben A while back I had gotten a hilux body/chassis and Ben inquired what I was doing with it, Well I decided that id rather have some a little bit more usable that wouldnt require as much time and effort ( considering I have 97 million other projects going on ) so we did a little swap and this is what I ended up with...A badass CJ 8 scrambler This is my 1st comp style rig, I wanted something scale but much more capable as far crawling goes and what better way then with a bulu 2 I havent had much time to work on it, I had my stp dad mount the body for me( he is good as that stuff, and I cant afford to mess is up) and I install a Tekin 2 in it so far. Hopefully ill have it running by 2nite Specs... -Bulu 2 maxx links -non narrowed Moabs with cut foams and BBS yes thats right they are not narrowed and there wont be any wideners either...you will see why soon enough -black wheels with Bens rock rings which are AWESOME by the way -locked, shaved tlt axles with bearings -locked Pede trans -12 tooth 87 tooth gearing -cj-8 body painted on the outside in NEW conditon -Tekin rebel 2 -JR 590z servo -Traxxas tq 3 radio...for now untill I can get another sysnthesized jr reciever -Tmaxx shocks Enjoy, also if you guys have any pointers on setting these things up, let me know, I am in new to the comp rigs although it seemed pretty damn good right out of the box Thanx again Ben, I hope you like the lux as much as I like the cj Mike |

looks really good Mike, I tried to set it up as best I could for you, so you could just run it as is. I would pre-load the left rear shock a little to battle the mild torque twist, other than that it should be good to go. That body looks awesome on there. |

Well I finished up the CJ last night, everything is working and working great, I put an even better servo on the front, good ol' hitec . Only thing I dont really like is that reverse delay with the Tekin, I have it set to the 0-5 second mode but it seems closer to 5 then anything Other then it should be a great rig. Here are a few poser shots, showing off the flex and flat fendered, I also added some cool diamond plate check out that custom built 2/3 cell pack nice and small and with 1200 capacity and a 55 turn lathe I should get some reasonable run times Well thats about it for this build untill I get to run it, hopefully Ill get to take it to "the rock" and give it all its got in the next weekend or 2 I also worked on the Trekker last night Yea I pulled it off the back burner and mounted up the rear shocks and tonight I am going to make the brackets for the trans mount so then they trans will be mounted. After that Ill start the tube work -Mike |

Looks good Mike! Is that body painted on the outside? If not that is a pretty cool color, very flat! Also I have had quite a few setups with the bulu chassis, and I must admit they work best running low with some droop. Also you are going to love that battery, I loved the small cells so much I just ordered another pack from cheapbatterypacks.com with their new 1400 intellects. Cant wait to use it |
