I am prolly going to use a regular brushed 19 Turn Single motor. I want to be able to hit at least 15mph if needed. May have to go to a 15 turn to get there though.

For a crawler! Yes!
And with the star cut foams, it handles like poo....on pavement.
Still working some bugs out. Over all......it is very cool!!!

digler try cutting squares into the face of the foam leaving 7 strips or bands in the center and the outer rings all intact. you can fine tune it by cutting out a little section on the strips (they act like big lugs like the star setup) it gives excellent sidewall support but yields a very soft foam (because most of it is air)

if you need a pic ill cut one of my spare foams really quickly...

Did you get like a group rate on those rings? They look way better with screws in them.

Which brushless motor is that? a HH Revolver?

I want to make my TLT crawler into a rig that will crawl, but still have a decent top speed as well. and i am planning on going brushless.
I have seen he Novak crawler setup in a tlt and it had a fair bit of wheelspeed. i think that motor is rated at 2700KV
