that is one nice looking chassis there. it looks very clean right now so that means get it running and go do some mudding and crawling. |
1sick clod~~looks good...that is a sweet chassi why did you tilt "sp" the front axles so far~~ So that i would have a better aproach angle. The way RD set up the servo and steering on the chassi it was very easy for the sevro arm to hit and catch on rocks, so by aiming it down a little im hopeing it will reduce my chacnes of hitting. joecrawler~~that is one nice looking chassis there. it looks very clean right now so that means get it running and go do some mudding and crawling. HELL YEAH IM GUNNA CRAWL, WATER WAMP, GO MUDDIN...BECAUSE THE CHASSI CAN RUST.................ITS PLASTIC |

Incase you didn't know that chassis floats too. Just to help out when the water gets really deep. |
Which batteries are you going to use? Let me know and I will tell you how to setup your upper links. Looks good ;-) |
im in omaha with rd400 talk every day with him i have that exact same setup with the revo links & lower sterring link is on the bottom of the knuckels & it works amazing!!!!!!! good luck with yours you will love it that chassie is one of the best ive ever seen, he may have something here |
Thanks everyone!! RD im gunna run a 4 cell. |
It looks good, but that servo mounting doesnt work for me. Whats the advantage over how everyone else runs them? |
sub-c's or 2/3-a's? Might not have enough punch. I just switched to a 7 cell 2/3-a set up and that works great. I have a bracket for the front axle for 2/3 a cells if you want one. Let me know. |
Your steering is not going to perform well at all like that. It's fine to have the rear pinion pointed up like the front is now without rear steer, because it keeps the U-joint up out of the way. On the front the caster should be very close to zero. Your front upper links are waaayyy too long.;-) |

This increases the traction available to the front tires and allows you to climb things you wouldn't beleive! |
WOW!! Well im almost done with wiring and painting the body so i should have a totally running if a few hours. I will posy new pics then |
My front axle leans forward a little too and I have no steering trouble. Actually it rotates the yoke up and rotates the housing back for a tiny bit more clearance under it. A nice thing about it is that since the tires are moving up and down just a hair, you can use it to your advantage and wiggle the truck a little when things won't settle and you are lifting a tire. |
I have been having problems with the drive shafts but i was talking to gerame and got everything fixed today. i also copied your steering too. and now im just tuning the esc because i got a new one for it. I promise tomore i will have new pics with the body. Thanks for keep the interest alive |
I really love the look of the red traxxas links but what are they going to look like after bashing? (I was thinking of using some 1/4 black delrin that I have but it is a little flexy.) Still really interested in this chassis though.. when she ready for sale??? |
