And a release date...

Old news. That truck has been around for close to two years "in production" They never release new information, they just rebadge old product information. The body does seem like a new body, but that's about it...

Also, anyone notice how the axle differential section looked like it was sagging in one of the front on pics?

Re: PTI Racing micro MT WOW!

I was out in Vegas during the hobby expo. It was the same week as interbike. Picked up a great deal on an airbrush set, and met the guys from PTI. I got to drive the truck, and akura from 18th.com took some pics of the articulation. This thing is badass. Nice Diffs, and good looking design. It does not come with a motor, so it is ripe for a brushless, and then later modded into a crawler. The Pti guy fabed some sway bars on it so it would turn better at high speed. He laughed when I asked if you could just buy the tranny and the axels. It will make a great crawler. Check the forum for it on 18th.com

Interesting. what hobby shop? In Oct. of this year PTI was claiming to have only one run of unreleased production models.

wow did you guys watch the movies on this truck?!!? i think that this truck has a very high potential of crawling. it can flex up onto a T-Maxx tire check out the movies and pictures they are realy cool

Re: PTI Racing micro MT WOW!

Yeah I agree on the movies and on the crawlability, but for that price... Man I could build an awsome TlT for that cash...

Re: PTI Racing micro MT WOW!

I had emailed them about the truck earlier, here are the replies:

"suggested retail $279.95 (street should be about 170 - 180)
Great planes HRP, Calif Hobby Dist"

"Yes we include a 550 with the kit"

Looks like one18th.com is charging full retail!

Re: PTI Racing micro MT WOW!

What ever happened to the plans the prototype builder of this truck was selling on the other forum, to build it out of TC3 parts?

BoilermakerFan 12-14-2004 09:08 PM

Re: PTI Racing micro MT WOW!

My guess is that he signed an agreement with PTI that prevents him from doing so now. Haven't heard or seen anyone else mention that they have a set of the plans. Too bad, I really like the aluminum axles on the prototype...
