good start, you need some pede wheels and dye them pink;-)

MGS511 06-14-2006 07:39 PM

is that copper tubing in the back? if it is its going to flex a lot i would segest break tubing.

skidooguymxz550 06-14-2006 07:56 PM

lucky bassterd, i took a good condition blackfoot body that my dad had put it on my stampede and beat the crap out of it. beating=trashed bf, then i saw what they were going for on ebay.

that paint is pretty!

murdock 06-14-2006 08:49 PM

yeah i figured that too about the copper being so soft, but it heats up quick and is readily available.the break line was not at any of the autoshops i went to.
so far it is really sturdy im using 3/16 copper tube. ill post some more when i get off work tomorrow.

im looking for a pede tranny and, besides if it really bends in a roll over wouldnt that be more scale?

Good to see another BF build. I've always liked that body, building my second one now. A little Easy-Off will take care of the paint ;)

im not a ford guy but this truck has been laying around in my friends house for as long as i can remember, this is the body off of the first hobby grade rc i had ever seen, i wanted one, never got it. now all i wanted was the body lol but it does have centimental values... do you think paint thinner would hurt the plastic???

ps im not sure what easy off is ... ?

murdock 06-15-2006 09:44 PM

ok so anyways here is what i did today, not as much as i expected since i got alot of bad news and my friend showed up to hang out, hes not interested in rc at all so it makes it hard to be a good host and get this thing done. lol
heres some pics yo

also last night i think i inhaled some fumes or something because i woke up at like four am from chest pains, i felt like i had just ran a mile. that was a little scary. maybe my girlfriend just poisoned my sandwich, and im over-reacting.

im breathing now so it must be nothing...... so what about these tubes? ehh ?

skidooguymxz550 06-15-2006 10:27 PM

i don't know the word for it, mabey it's apneya, were you stop breathing in your sleep. i think the first time it falls your trucks going to bend over like yo' mamma did last night. it looks nice but not strong. mabey with enough bracing?

murdock 06-15-2006 10:51 PM

yeah, i knew what you were talking about...

murdock 06-17-2006 07:10 PM

a quick mock up to see how uneven it is, looks alright, w/some mashers i got from mello yello

murdock 06-24-2006 11:23 PM

all i have done is searched for parts and painted the body and rims, the shocks arent in the right place yet because i havent made mounts.

Looking good so far.I have a Blackfoot sitting in my closet that I'd thought of using the body to do the same with.I really like what you did with the wheelwells.Keep us posted on the progress.
