|  My "Stealth" TLT...
This has been about three weeks of building and rebuilding this rig. I am happy with the current setup, but that might change.  Mods include, (but are not limited to): Integy 65t GD-600 Team Associated Stealth Transmission, (locked) Modified Stock Chassis Custom Links Custom Servo/Link Mounts Associated Shocks/Springs 2.2 Moabs On Narrowed Rustler Fronts Maxx Shafts Locked Diffs TQ3 Rear-Steer Mod Hitec SP520 Plus ESC, (sucks) LED's HPI Rubicaon Body 7.4v 4600mah Li-Ion's (cells stolen from old laptop packs)     Last edited by -Q-; 06-25-2006 at 10:42 PM. i like it alot. good idea on the batts. looks like you stripped an old rc10 for this puppy. How slow is it with a gear reduction and the 65t?

Yeah, the stealth came out of a box of old parts I had from one of my RC-10T's back in the day. It's almost a little too slow. I would guess top-speed is ~3MPH. Good thing I have a lot of gearing options with the Stealth/GD600... *edit* Threw the GPS on it and drove it around the yard a little today. Max Speed as measured by the GPS was 1.7 MPH. What is your wheel base at? How long are your top & lower links(front and rear)? Do you have any more pics of your chassis? What did you have to do to the stock chassis to make your transmission fit? Sorry for all of the questions, I'm a newb:-( when it come to RCs. See  |

I made the upper links ~2" and the lowers ~3". The wheelbase is right at 12 inches. I removed about 1" from the bottom of the stock chassis and used the left plate on the right side and right plate on the left side. This gave me the correct layout to drill the required holes to mount the stealth to the side of the chassis, (see four counter-sunk screws in attached image), and increase the slot size for the spur/clutch assembly. I narrowed the chassis to the width of the stealth transmissions height, (make sense?), and made supports to fit that width. I can now remove a lot of the remaining metal from the front and rear ends of the chassis-plates as they no longer serve any purpose, (just too lazy to do that at this point because it isn't interfering with anything). Sorry for the poor image quality. It's too late to go searching for the good camera...     |

After re-reading my last post, I thought I should clarify. The aluminum rods in the upper and lower links are 2" and 3" respectively. That measurement is not including the length of the ball-ends.
