JAy I'm going crawling in WI this weekend.

It depends on tires. Anywhere from 2.5" to 3.5"

hahahahah for clearance well dang you foiled my plan:lol: i got all the stuff so im gona try it 8) in that first pic looks like a wheel came unglued i hate when that happens:x

Yep I pulled it off, so I could take the foams out and put bb's in. I'm going to try 2.5oz first. Just changing the battery dropped it down to 3#7.4oz Without bb's and the brushless. It would be possable to get under 3# overall wieght.
I got two small packs and a body today 97 f150.

4 Attachment(s)
Well it works better than any other tlt I've had.
I've been playing with weight and at 4#2oz seems to be the best that's where it sits now RTR.
Got everything going for a gtg saturday. So there will be good crawling pics then.

cole i was going to mount my body almost identically. hows it twist like that with a body mounted?

Cole82 07-14-2006 08:23 PM

It doesn't efect it at all. I made the body loose fitting.
Something I noticed while crawling. If you have a linked/sprung truck and 1 tire goes into a hole. The whole truck gets upset when the tire falls in the hole. With this truck it just carries the tire across the hole. Like it was just flat ground.

i just got mine finished up, the first chassis was too weak and i broke it before i ever even ran it haha. mounted body the same way. you guys bringing yours to moab ?

Cole82 07-15-2006 05:41 AM

I wish I could go to moab. It's getting a therough betting to day. I'll let everyone know how it stacks up to the other tlt's.

I don't know if I said this or not. With the aluminum at an angle like that more force is applied to the side that lifts a tire. When under a hard load. So it counter acts torque twist too. besides making it look cool.

Quoting Microgoat

Actually I think the next big thing to come is individual wheel gearboxes, so technically, no axles.

its costing me a lot to get to moab but it will be worth it to see a bunch of my chassis all rtr in person!

thats interesting, ive got very little time on mine but no torque twist that ive noticed...

VMGontheRocks 07-15-2006 12:04 PM

I was trying this set up today. But the axles won't line up with each other with the aluminum bar straight. Any ideas.

You have to drill out the little metal tlt mount thing. Drill them out to 3/16. Then you canget the rest with the turnbuckle.

All I can say is CLOD KILLER this thing is crazy good. If you don't have one you will loose a comp. That's my cocky statment for the month.:) Pics soon. I need to resize them.
