Looks like you guys had fun. Did you notice anything that it had any real difficulty with? I got mine all set-up thank you Cole for the infromative tip to drill out the holes on the TLT hardware. Now I just need to add a ton of weights.

Cole82 07-16-2006 11:16 AM

The only thing you have to watch out for. Is when one of the front tires is in the air. Just barely bump the throttle and it will transfer the weight back down on the front.
Make sure the weight is very secure I had about an ounce fall off. It made it climb a lot werse a very noticable difference right away.

Cole whipped out his STICK when I was up in IOWA picking up my lathe on friday. It looks slick! Very cool tlt if you ask me.

If you wanted to get a bit more flex you could always drill a series of holes into the middle of the rail. It would allow a bit more twist.

i drilled holes in mine but it didnt help twist. cutting the aluminum so the sides were thinner did help tho :)

i am gonna get me a tlt rock buster kit and use a chassis like that. Easy to make and cheap. Homedepot sells that all day long and gives it to me hehehehe.

Cole82 07-18-2006 09:06 PM

Yes therear is tilted up. Front is normal.

peej410 07-19-2006 09:24 AM

interesting. i have a few ideas that might try to get it out of the way completely

_Jason_ 07-23-2006 10:52 PM

just how much extra weight have you guys added?

whats the best to use? lead stick-on or BB's?

what kinda foams are you guys running in them if any?

the reason i'm asking...i'm building one now and its all done BUT it feels light almost to light... i'm thinking i might run lots of weight up front and no foams.?.?

thanks
_Jason_

Cole82 07-24-2006 11:22 AM

I'm useing no foams. 2.5oz of bb's in each front wheel. 1.5oz stick on to the front axle.
