yesterday my twig survived a 50 something foot tumble with 5-6 impacts on the way down and landed in a tree above a river. after 20 minutes of indiana jones meets cliff hanger. i survived to fetch the crawler back to find it had only slightly bent the frame. it landed on a branch that was no more than 1/4 inch thick... long live the torsion sticks 2.2s

Sounds brutal.
The 27th I'm going to try my hands at a comp with this thing.

Yep he only drove it for about 10min before the comp. Then he goes and takes 7th out of 14 in the class. I was blown away. He has some nitro monster truck maybe he will leave that in the closet and get a crawler.

I didn't have enough steering in the heat which made me roll. I was trying not to back up and went over the edge. So today when I got home, the steering got modded. I did the mods etype R has on his trucks. BTW he made the turn without a problem.

Here is the steering pic went from 25* to 37*. That's the only thing that has changed. I do want to change the rear lock out though.

Yeah, it was just a kid that came up to us at the campsite wanting to know more. Really had alot of interest in the hobby, his parents where awesome about it to, never met such nice people.

Its a cool idea...but I prefer the shocks and more of a chassis type truck.

It doesn't need a name.
It dominates the competitions trucks. The standings speak for them selfs.

Putting one together myself. I did a "proof-of-concept" with a fuse from a Slow Stick (airplane) and it did fantastically well. Didn't flex worth beans, but my new stick material will do much better. Loved the 60%+ grade climbing ability...

On my TS, I set my wheelbase using holes drilled in two wooden rulers (got the idea from someone here on the board). I then put the stick in place and drilled the holes with everything in place. I used tape wrapped around the drillbit so I wouldn't overdrill into the axel case.

Hope that helps you. The way I did it allows you to not have to deal with angles and such, you get to use the ole eyeball and the TLAR method (that looks about right). Both my axels line up and I don't have to use hardly any trim on the Tx.

Mine is also done the same way, with one difference. I made new servo plates that span the whole axel between the C's... This allowed me to not use the stock screw holes on the axles like you are using. One thing I believe Cole did with the link mounts he has attached to the axles was to open up the holes so he can straighten out the axles.

Trickster got it right on. I enlarged the holes on the tamiya parts to make it line up then the rest was taken care of by the yurn buckles.

Yep drill the blue out to 3/16"

And Cole, thanks for the original idea. I believe you weren't the first, but I liked your setup over most and it inspired me to creat my rig. When I had the Moabs on it, I was pretty much unstopable. :D
