A little tweakage in the form of progressive rate springs to counter the falling rate suspension.

$18 for four is a third of what the Tamiyas cost me. Then another $4.50 for the two springs for the rear shocks.

:-(

Looks good. I like the stance. Look like it as a good COG. Good use of the stock TLT brackets

I hate bodies, I swear I'm doing a tuber next! I spent about a week looking for a body. I spent hours staring at paint. I end up with solid blue. Backed by some of the most metalflaked silver I've ever encoutered. Tamiya paints. I had a bunch of paint schemes in my head, I always end up solid color. Screw it.

Thanks for the comments, and compliments, Kaetwo did the hard part, I just copied his truck.

Bah, traxxas shocks are better I think then tamiya shocks, unless his are nice ones, all my tamiya shocks suck, ta02 shocks, my other rally shocks, tlt shocks, misc shocks from tamiya!
But Ive heard his shocks are nice ones, so I guess any tamiya shocks that are older suck, I dont have any NEW tamiya shocks besides my tlt shocks!

Default Sweet....

I like your build. It's cool to see those that have one are enjoying them. I've tried to make them chaep enough that if a guy really didn't like it he wouldn't be out much. It's radical enough that it's hard to change the norm without facing some resistance. I love it though.

Thanks for all the feedback guys (good and bad) and EeePee thanks again for this thread build up.

If anyone has any questions, comments or concerns.....send the questions and comments on over but keep the concerns to yourself :-) jk

Word up yall. Thanks for the comments. snook, check the Vendor's Forum.

Cole, I have to admit I haven't taken this thing out to anything really all that challenging yet. I ran a few circles around the neighborhood, maybe 8 runs. I didn't want to get too crazy without some kind of body on there. Now that I have this Smurf looking thing, I can make it fit, then I can take it out to the park that I haven't been to in a while.

Initial impressions are good. It's similar to my other 2.2, and it drives similarly also. It's like a tweaked version of the Jefferson.

I'm lazy, and it's hot! I gotta chop some fenders.

Nice build up EeePee!

The body looks good to.

I think I may try and get my hands on one of these? I have a P4 now but since I don't have any plans to compete a more scale looking rig is sounding good to me.

Thanks Xtant.

Put some more time in driving. I was thinking about how much power the Revolver has in the truck, so I decided to try less voltage. A 4 cell GP3300 pack, and 12/87 gearing on the Pede make for one rediculously slow crawler. It still has the power, though it stalled out twice. So I'm at the line. It is too slow, no doubt about it, I can't save it from rolling over. The new rear springs helped. But I want one more stiffer on the torque roll side.

The 4 cell holder is a Duratrax battery jig that I cut up. The 4 cell pack actually will fit between the frame rails as you can see in the pictures. This is the way I was driving it testing out the 4 cell pack (mounted in front of the motor).

Woot. Screw that Rock Pleazer body. New one is the Courier. Red, silver, then black. The front black grill area is going to be redone, I messed it up, and it looks weird to me.

New rear steer lock out also.

I need a stiffer rear spring for the twist side, which will be the stiffest progressive rate HPI spring available.
