Courier looks MUCH better. Now get a shrpie or paint pen and outline the inside of the windows, will set your red paint off really good. Rbgerrish scale trick.

The Courier is tons better, I don't get the Rock Pleazer body at all. It's ugly. But since they're now discontinued, it's cool I got one.

I'm too lazy to put the stickers on the body, let alone sharpy the window frames. I still have to trim the thing and slam it. This isn't really a scale truck anyways.

Thanks guys.

Ah, I won't be going, so I'm good!

The rear driveshaft has popped off the metal yoke twice. The rear driveshaft does have some mileage on it, so it might be time to replace it, and see if it still happens. The yoke starts parallel to the ground, it's not tilted up, and at full compression the yoke is just slightly tilted up, so I don't know if the angles have anything to do with it.

And after some more spring swapping, the progressive right rear spring has been replaced with the original Tamiya touring car spring. I wasn't getting good travel out of the right rear. Now it works as it should. So only the left rear torque twist side has the progressive spring. And that spring actually seems to be more effective now, which makes sense as the right rear spring is doing more work being softer, and it's not forcing the torque side to compress. So that's good.

The truck does climb rather well, when it hooks up. It tends to get some wheel hop. It can do some really steep angles though.

Thanks fellas.

The paint is already coming off the front, so it'll be red again before I know it.

Since the Revolver weighs less than a normal lathe motor does, I've actually lost weight down low. A seven cell AA pack made up of Energizers weighs considerably less than a four cell GP3300 pack. Less down low, more up high isn't the greatest way to get a low center of gravity. So the AA pack makes sense, as it weighs less, and I threw a couple extra BBs in the front tires. Works better.

A 5 cell GP3300 pack works pretty sweet.

I used small velcro pieces to help hold it in place then cranked down on the Dan's Racing strap. Does Dan's still exist?

Default Up dilly ate

Well, I've put some miles on this thing, and I love it. It's a really fun truck to drive. It's a little wider in the skidplate area than my other rig, so it presents some new challenges, and that makes me a better driver, I think.

Going back to the link set up, now it does have some issues. Now that my ball end parts are well worn in, there's all kinds of slop, and side to side movement. The problem is mainly the uppers, at the axle, the ball ends have actually stretched, and deformed. I think I mentioned earlier that there isn't enough vertical seperation between the two links, and now with the slop, the axle twists itself so far that the driveshaft yoke is nearly pointed vertical. It's pretty rediculous actually.

A solution would be to replace the ball ends occasionally.

Anyways, I made a trail ride video you guys can watch, and in the end you'll see the rear axle getting all out of shape. Also in the video you can see the rear squatting, a 20% drag brake setting (sweet), the stripped out wheel hexes, and the Mamba won't go into reverse on a downhill.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jG6fQrhx5C8

And then after watching the video I had to do something about the rear link set up. To keep it in the family, I'm using the upper link mount from my Jefferson. I also lowered the body to get ready for a comp coming up.

Yeah Uni, I'd go for your upper link mounts if I were you.

The video didn't really do the truck any justice really.
