Looking good man, I like the front end too, there isnt anyway to build shocks mounts around it? This will be another sick build, just like your others

Well I did some more work yesterday. I got the chassis almost finished. I'll snap some pics and try to post them. Having computer issues. Oh and the front end got cut off and rebuilt.

boatsideing the thing is the plan because to run a decent travel shock I need to drop the tranny down. then I need to clock the tranny to clear the links.

revo shocks with jato springs is a nice setup 3.5 and the nicest shocks you can buy cheap, the X ring is super nice aswell.

You should name it Carl. one of my friends had a cat named Carl...he was cool. I also know a Carl that has some good fishing stories.

The Boat sides and tranny mount are done. I got the shocks today(70-103mm HPI Super Shocks). I got them because of their slightly smaller diameter and they use pivot balls on both ends. These shocks will be layed down a lot and angled in so I'll need them to pivot on their mounts as much as possible. Still need to cover the boat sides with thin sheet metal, make the shock and link mounts. Then assemble the rest of it. I brought it into the hobby shop today for Jerod (aka sicj) to see. I'll let him post up his comments.

Nah, it looks sick. But I'm bias towards midget, belly dragger, comp chassis'

Like we talked about in the shop.... skin the boat sides with the thin gauge steel and I would also add a gusset to the trans plate.

Oh, and the chassis twists to the drivers side like I said not passenger

SO the motor is on the correct side.

But that's why your copying me, cause it works

Can't wait to see the suspension hung.

This rig will be put on hold for a bit since I don't have a place to weld and fabricate close by. Plus I'm getting married in a few weeks so will have to spend time getting things in order for that. But if I get a chance to head to the shop where I built it I'll make a quick dash down there and finish it up. All thats left are the link and shock mounts. I can't wait to see it done. It's been sitting on my counter all mock'd up and it looks so cool. More later
