wow it's been a long time since I've worked on this thing. Well I got the upper shock mounts done, the tranny mount gusset and the lower link mounts. All thats left is the boatside skins and upper link mounts. |

the chassis is complete!!!!! Unfortunately I have to wait till I'm back in Sac to assemble it. Plus I"m sure I'll have to make the susp. links so it may still be a while. The link problem just occured to me there goes the excitment.

it's been a roller for a little while just been real busy. Here's some poser shots as a roller still need to machine some driveshaft adapters, body panels, and a few other mounts, then a trailer to tow it behind my Chevy. What do you think? |

| Tubing is always hollow, if it weren't it would be called rod. The tubing is VERY strong and bends around a small brakeline die. Which I will hopefully be making shortly. Are you bending by hand or using a bender?

well I finally got to drive this thing. Though it's not completely done, it's darn close. Anyway here's the specs. Cromoly Chassis ( named MUGSY) TLT axles: rear locked w/JB weld, front w/top secret compound RC4WD super narrow beadlocks, turned down to run narrowed Masher 2K's w/foams Stealth Tranny with custom driveshaft adapters to run Pede shafts 45t Lathe 12/87 Futaba FM radio & RX 645 servo XRS ESC .035 lexan panels, it will also have another set of panels painted by Brandon on to the pics Oh forgot the results, It works pretty well ity's very stable until the torque twist takes over then it flops over. I did a XX link design to get away from it, obviously it didn't work. DAMN YOU JERED! I'm going to try and shorten the upper links in the rear by making a new upper link mount, hopefully it'll work. Looks killer Dave! Cant wait to paint the panels for it. Before you mess with the links too much try moving the upper links to the bottom of the top plate on the axle. That might do the trick to get rid of the twist |

The hood is done and on I also tiddy'd up the wiring and mounted the battery. It works very well I am pretty happy with it. still need to compare it to some other comp rigs. anyone not working in the South Bay this week? Thanks RockMuncher, if you liked Ralph and dig Mugsy too, You'll really like my next chassis idea. Stay tuned. |
