Kamikaze 09-11-2006 08:44 PM

You are crazy,I hate welding pot metal, Did you use red 2% tungsten ?

edit* Your tuber looks awesome !

Kamikaze 09-11-2006 08:57 PM

Yeah red, if you will set it for dc- but still use the pulse like you would for aluminum it actualy don't do that bad. I could never keep the red and the green straight so when I think of tig I think aluminum so green for go and red for stop, helps me anyway.

I thought red and green are the same pretty much just green is cheaper ? I dont know for sure what that I heard anyways. Man just like week or two ago, me and my co-worker went to buy some red 2% bought 2 boxs @ $76 ! I just about fell over when saw the price....

Kamikaze 09-11-2006 09:12 PM

Green is for aluminum, you use it on ac for aluminum, you can use it for steel but it will leave a distorted color, red will contaminate and aluminum weld since it is ac.

Looks sweet man.

4stAir 09-11-2006 10:32 PM

ahhh... i see.
i am using a 7cell 1200 rc18t pack on my comp truck due to smaller cells.

yukon635 09-12-2006 04:18 AM

looks great man, got any pics of your whole did/brake system. also are you running all of those servos from one battery pack thru the moped or two with one reciever pack? didnt think that the moped could handle that much.

muddauber7 09-12-2006 08:33 AM

 nice rig man, really like all your designs,
seems well thought out and clean.
on to the next build, right?
