| ANUBIS: The construction of... ANUBIS: The construction of... I've started on my second custom TLT truck. This truck will be the last I build for awhile so I'm going ALL out on it. Lots of custom work, time, money, effort, and really cool parts!! It will be more of a trail/scale type rig with great agility. Different from the last truck I built, Prometheus, which is more of a competition type truck. I've gotten a lot of work done so far, but there is still a lot more work to be done. Here are some pics and info. -Tamiya crome plated axle casings -Fat Rocks Axle "C's" -Custom shock/link mounts made from aluminum "U" channel -JB weld locked diffs -HPI aluminum hex's deanodized and the nipples ground off -Custom GE Lexan chassis -Aluminum chassis re-enforement bars -RC4WD Competition size aluminum beadlocks, rings have been deanodized and polished -Proline Masher 2000's -Traxxas Magnum tranny --Locked with JB weld --Traxxas steel output yokes --Traxxas aluminum idler gear --Traxxas bearings --Traxxas spur locker I'm in the process of making custom servo mounts out of 6061 sheet aluminum. Gotta drill holes and bend. |

Thanks for the props!! I'm not worried about scraping. It'll look that much better with some scrapes, tumbles, and rolls. I'm pretty sure on what body I'll be running, but you guys won't know that until I get to start on masking, and painting. Top Secret info. I don't want to say I'm using one thing and then change my mind, so I'll just be posting what I'm using as I install, build, or buy as I go along. Plus, I tend to jinx myself when I post to far ahead. Quote:
EDIT: I found it..... NEW Type Designs TLT-1 Chassis (Semi - Scale) I never saw that before. Its nice, but not as nice as mine. Last edited by sg219; 09-12-2006 at 09:14 PM.

haha are you sure about that? Lexan is weaker! I have a VMG lexan chassis copy of the kaetwo-I told him so he wouldnt be hurt, which I knew he wouldnt be. I think this lexan chassis might break, its .125 or so also!

I doubt it's an intentional copy of anyone's design. Sit down and try to draw a functional chassis for a TLT, then search two or three times and I'm sure you'll find something that very closely resembles your design. What works, works for a reason, and there are only so many ways to "invent the wheel". I've tried to come up with something that looks like nothing else I've seen, and they usually end in huge piles of flaming sh!t! Not knocking anyone here, but guys need to lay off when someone comes up with a "new design" that may look like something else out there! Now that I have that out of the way, your chassis looks sweet so far! Keep the pics coming

OK. First off, I made this as I sketched it. Its not a copy. Plus, mine will be a combination of GE Lexan and aluminum. Also wider, and several other differences. Enough about the copying crap.
