Default The little bug that could

Recently i decided to trade off my 2.2 clod and go back to a tlt. well after recieving it and looking over it, the XRC looks very promising. The first thing that i did upon getting it was to strip it down and give it a new outfit. first thing that had to go was the shiny chassis, link mounts and axle plates. Then the white links had to go also, so i just replaced them with some black high clearance links, which i would have to say look very cool and look like they will perform very well on the rocks (by the way if you have experieced it yet, insanerc has great customer service, after problems with usps).

Next, this thing needed some new shoes, so it got some beefed up masher 2ks on some hpi spikes. After a long wait from the post office i final got a new lid. Next was time for the brushless system to go back in (thanks to jrh for such great customer service). And blah, blah . . . . . off to some specs and some pics

xrc with high clearance links
mamba brushless system
stealth tranny
losi green shocks (painted) with red in the left rear to help fight torque
beefed up masher 2ks with hpi's
jr servo
aluminum knuckles
and soon to come, a front dig that i working on right now

also going to do a test run either thurday or friday so i will have some action pics and maybe a vid if i can figure that out

thanks guys for the comments. i'm going to try to get a vid soon but the only person i can get to film it is my girlfriend:-x knowing her she will just stand there and follow around and not try to get any angles on it. If i cant figure out how to edit a vid, then all you will here is me telling here where to go to get a good view of it.

About time!

I already redesigned the Clod 3 times already!

Did you just paint the chassis sides and axle plates?

Love the Bug Body!

Here is a pic of your old rig in it's new form!

yeah it took some time. i had tests come up and then listen to my girlfriend whine and whine cause i spent more time with my toys than her. (women, they just dont understand or atleast mine doesnt) then i had problems with the post office losing stuff or taking a million years to get it to me.

yeah i just painted the chassis, the axle plates and even the link mounts on the axle.

Yeah i saw the ol clod get rebuilt and it was killin me not being able to do anything to this tlt. but now that things are together, new stuff is getting added as fast as possible.

Yeah that's not going to change either. The rig looks good. I wish I knew you wanted a tlt, I'm thinking about getting rid of my 2.2 tlt for a clod.

it did awsome. was actually suprised. the only thing it didnt handle as well as i would of liked was side hilling, if that is a word. it crawled up and out of a lot of things and with the torque of the brushless system, it was great.

After the stability of the PC on a sidehilling situation, most other chassis are not as impressive. But the XRC makes up for it in other areas!

I miss it, may have to get another 2.2 TLT soon!
