Well,I got it into a roller now.Waiting on the lhs to get the right tires.Once I have it as a runner I can start playing with my shock positions and spring rates to see what works best.Battery and motor are just sitting in it for weight to give me an idea of the ride height.

Got a couple of more pics with the body rough cut and mounted.I decided to go with cole82 idea to use the Power Wagon body.I really like the way it looks, thanks Cole82.Also 1 flex shot.Body posts will get cut after I get everything finalized.I am also going to make a cradle for the battery at the chassis end.I don't like the way it sits directly on the links.Since this is my first real TLT(did the rcca version, sold it) please let me know what you think. Is that enough or too much flex?I only ask because I'm so used to my Clod super truck.

SWEET build! Articulation is probably fine. What is the limiting factor? Shocks bottoming out? Or does it reach a binding point?

I think it's just the weight issue.I had RBGERRISH look at it today and he seems to think that everything is fine. The only suggestion he had was for the amount of wheel weight in the front.I think I'm just unsure about things because this is my first real TLT build.

Your flex looks about perfect for a link suspension.
That body looks good cut like that.
Try the tires both directions too. I have found the tend to hop more when back wards.

Default Little update

I just thought I'd give a little update.Sorry it wasn't sooner.I had some issues with the paint job last weekend so that's my reason.Luckily I was using acrylics so I was able to wash most of it off.Should have the paint done tomorrow. It's up to roller status now.I just need to get everything wired up.Will post more pics this weekend. My question is,I designed a couple of different rock rings and had them waterjet today.Which one do you guys think looks better.Due to the waterjet, they are not perfect but, they'll work great for my purpose.

I like the one on the left. If you don't use them I'll take them off your hands.

They look great, I like te one on the right. Killer machine work too!

I also like the idea of you getting a Vendor star so I can buy a set of those lock-outs!

What was your problem with having them cut out by a waterjet? They look great to me.

Nice work with both the aluminum and delrin. I know I would buy a set of the servo mounts and lock outs!

The waterjet isn't as accurate or leave as nice of an edge as a laser would.Other than that I'm more than happy with them.

I got more progress done.Got the body painted finally.Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped but it'll work.Got the rock rings mounted.I'm not sure that I like the chrome rims behind them so I'll probably pull them back off and paint the wheels black.Shouldn't have let my daughter talk me into the chrome ones.Almost had it running tonight but when I went to mount the motor,I ran into clearance issues with the hub on the pinion gear.I'll just make a spacer for the motor. Here's a few pics to see how it turned out.

Looks good. I think you should paint the rims the same color as the body.
