When I was crawling my TXT in Korea (the land of Hitec) I popped the 645MGs like Pez. Intalled a servo saver, still popped them. Luckily I was in Korea and there were plenty of places to get gears. Not sure what it is, but that 645 is coming out. |
Just put a 359 in it already. I heard they're awsome, you'll love 'em."thumbsup" |

man thats some great photography! |
I gave up on the 645s also and went with a 1/4 scale servo. It is just as fast as the 645s with more torque... Heck it gives me a nice place to mount my batteries while I am at it too... The biggest plus though... It uses less power from the BEC than the 645s do. I can run two of the 755HB's for just over the power consumption of 1 645s (at least on paper, real world testing seems to back this up as well). |

Just checked that Futaba...it's a 3003. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXH288&P=ML $11, only 42 oz of torque (a whopping 56+ oz @ 6V  ). It's reliable, though. I just picked up a JR Sport ST125MG. 125oz @4.8V with a 60 degree transit time of .21 sec 142oz @ 6V with a 60 degree transit time of .17 sec It was $33.99 and has a three year warranty. "thumbsup" We'll see how it does, I guess. |
Keep us in the loop on that servo. Although I really like the 1/4 scale servo, it is bloody huge. |

i didn't know people were having problems with the 645's. |
The Jr st125mg servo can be hit or miss. I had run one in my pro4(best option for my poor *** driving), and it did well. But the LHS had a 90% failure rate/return on these servos after short runs. They failed in pedes, as throttle servos in 5th scales and in Revos. Bluemonster installed one and it was great while testign and settign up his tuber, but on the rocks of our last comp it struggled worse then my 645mg. I just ordered some of the 995 coreless servos off ebay, 2 for like $35. I will post up how they work, the most intesting part of the 995's is that they are rated up to 8.4volts.. |

Just came back to this thread thanks to SlinkySam mentioning it. The JR ST125MG has been running in the FJ since the day I bought it and has been performing great. I think Ralph (and the abuse he gets) will be a better test for the servo. At less than $40 each they're almost too good to pass up as of now. The stock servo arm that comes with the JR isn't enough to get the steering throw I'm used to but that's nothing a longer arm won't fix. |
BTW, Looks like Sam has axle-Cs in stock. www.fat-rock.com |
i just tried putting 2 pairs in my cart and it said ive ordered more than is in stock, currently out of stock.....or somthing like that:-( |
Try the futaba S3305 I've run two of them in all my TLT rigs and never had an issue. The quality is just superior. |
