Default Finally got one!

Now, after years and years of looking around and waiting on one to get into the zone I felt comfortable with getting one, I did! Now, I won't have it until next week BUT I do know that it will need a few upgrades to get it to were it should be. What are some upgrades that are a must, I saw a few on ebay that had the sealed bearings(?). Besides doing this, what else can I do that will make it decent in stock-ish form? Thank you! I'll post some pictures of what it looks like later.

well do you plan to do crawling in stock form or keeping it more monster truck? the first thing I did was throw out the stock spur an replace it with a normal 48p gear cause the stock gearing in tamiya is imperial which isn't easy to find at your LHS.

I personally don't care for the tamiya usa build a better tlt-1 guide cause it removes the monster truckness from the truck but this guide (abit hard to read unless copy to a note document) will do just about everything with even less buying stuff.
How to Build A Better TLT-1

here is the tamiya usa guide though they buy more parts so not really a stockish guide

I'm not sure really, I wouldn't mind doing a crawler but I've been seeing a lot of mega monsters(44 inched monster trucks basically) out there that I wouldn't mind doing. I'm leaning more toward a crawler actually which is what I'll prolly do and work on over winter here in Indiana.

well if more going crawling replace the steering knuckles as soon as possible I snapped mine a few days into playing around with mine in stock form with a 10.5t brushless with stock gearing. Grab some knuckles from rcp crawler (super -max clearance tlt aluminum knuckles) **RCP*Crawlers*Super-Max...

Might as well grab their MIP cvd axles as well for the TLT I'd recommend putting shrink wrap over them in case a pin drops out... should be less violent for you since i had one slide free an bind into the knuckle at 25mph... surprisingly nothing broke!
