Default Tuber Rock buggy

After being fed up with duplicate TLT designs that all look the same. I decided to start a build up on a tube frame. After finding a picture of Brad Styles 1:1 comp buggy in a magazine. I used it to base my structure.

12" wheelbase
evader shocks
1/4 brake line brazed with a Oxy Mapp torch.
Brushless Quark and revolver setup
front steer with dig possibly
Stealth Trans

It will look better once I get to the final stages. I still have some stuff to braze.

Looks like a good start you still have a ways to go before it looks like that.

Nice "setup" Should look great with some panels on there. What tires are you going to run? I would say some narrowed mashers would look sweet.

Thanks for the idea, I think narrowed mashers would look great.

What do you all think of the longer links in the front? Does it look odd ball? Don't know I really don't want this truck any shorter. The shock mounting positions line up as it sits. I want to be able to climb big hills without a whole lot of struggle, this is a comp truck after all. I figured 12" would be the happy medium for turning and climbing. I like the way the stock TLT shocks look however the performance sucks. I might experiment with heavy diff oils. I may just end up going with internal springs in the evader shocks.

Unfortunately, the trans is in the way keeping this vehicle driverless. Of course we could have a amputee driving but so far no one has volunteered.

Thats my brothers tube buggy in the backround in the last pic.

Looks cool, I like the skineyness of it.

Also cool to see my old orange bronco in the magazine clipping on the wall

Looks great. I like the simplicity of it.

One of those wheelbase jigs has been on my "must have" list for a long time now.

I've considered it, I just can't get it to work with the current position of the lower links. Someone needs to make some high steer knuckles for these trucks. The rear will have rear dig.

Some more progress

Rear dig driveshaft, still have to hook up the linkage.

Front battery and servo mount, trying to keep the COG as low as possible.
