Default The Black Plague (CF-XRC style) Updated 3-15-07

Here is my new 07 2.2 Comp rig.

CF-XRC chassis
Revolver motor with Mamba 25 or Quark ESC
Hitec 645 mounted to BTA steering
RC4WD Supernarrow beadlocks with G-made widners

Haven't actually got it up and running yet but had to post up the pics. Still need to play with the shocks to limit the flex (it'll twist almost 90 degrees) and get the steering dialed in.

May change the name but this thing will be bring death to all the other SERCRC 2.2 rigs!

Be careful with the revolver....they tend to have some power.

Nice rig. I have one (XRC-CF) and will have to post pics sometime. Let me know if you need any info/help with steering. I am also running Losi tranny and shocks, revolver and mamba. Have added dig and quick change shock mounts.

I got it from JRH (Holmes Hobbies) when he still had them.

What drive shafts are you running with the losi tranny?

I had a hard time justifying spending that on wheels too, but then I told myself they would pay for themself by the time I bought 6-8 sets of regular wheels. Plus I can change the foams and weights if I don't like the setup.

I have got a Jato Pleazer body for it. Bug bodys are so 2006......but they do help SOOOOOOO much as far as roll overs go.

I use t-maxx drive shafts. It is pretty easy by using XX outdrives for the sliders, enlarge the holes slightly and you are good to go. With the power of the revolver, I may end up going to Revo shafts.....we will see if I break any t-maxx shafts first.

Thanks,
Casey

Are you running the XX or XXX tranny? I think the maxx shafts will hold up fine on a TLT. IMO revos are overkill. I'd rather twist a drive shaft than snap an axle....nuch easier to replace.
