Nice. Good body choice. Wait till you get to abstract algebra. MATH 613. Abstract Algebra. 3 hours. Elements of group theory and ring theory; subgroups, cyclic and permutation groups, homomorphisms, quotient groups, isomorphism theorems, subrings, and ideals. Applications to modular arithmetic, partitions and equivalence relations, polynomial rings, complex numbers, integral domains, and fields. Prerequisite: MATH 617 Linear Algebra or MATH 513 Discrete Structures. Now that's fun! Last edited by 1tom2go; 12-06-2006 at 10:28 PM. |

any motor in it? all the gear reduction keeps it from freewheeling, always kind of feels like it is under load if the motor is in it

Are those maxx shockx with stock red springs? If they are you will need softer springs. Losi yellows in the front. And somthing slightly stiffer in the rear. Run the rear stiffer than the front. This setup works well on my SW2. I would go with the 45t lathe motor. The wheel speed will come in handy to get over obstacles. In my SW2 the 45 seemed to work well. A good balance between wheel speed and torque. You may need to mess with your gearing a little. For batteries I run the smaller 2/3a cells. Same as a mini-t pack. I actually run a 6 cell side by side setup. I mount it to the top of my steering servo. It is shrink wraped of course. But it seems to work well with plenty of run time. Just another idea for you. The truck is looking good. Hope you make it out to a few of the Carolina Rock Runners gatherings next summer. Last edited by BrandO; 12-17-2006 at 08:14 AM. |

Thanks for the thread, I'm looking into getting started and doing almost the exact same thing that you've done. But probably on a much slower scale. Great pictures and explanations, thanks again ..
