Default stampede spur gear

whats the best spur gear size to use. right now i think i am running an 87t with an 11t pinion but thats with the stock tlt tranny. i have the lathe motor in it now.

Put in a 90T and see how it does then. Small changes to the spur gear are suposed to yield big results. Have you looked at converting it to a 4x4 yet?
