I´ve been for another testdrive at my favorite caste. The SW2 climbs really great.

But I have to cut some more at the fenders. I dont linke the noise the rubbing tires make. A part of the chrome bumper must say goodbye.

Here is a picture, as promised, of the original "Frankenstein Castle" in germany. This is from inside, where even a lot of stones are left to crawl. We do not have any monsters here, atleast no film-monsters ... , just little RC-ones...hehe

The only drawback is, that it is very often wet here, and the stones are full of slippery moos.

Cheers, Pete

that just looks soooo awesome, Pete...

Nothing wrong with a little mud and moss makes things more "interesting" and give the truck a little character Can't keep it showroom clean all the time, right?? Kinda like a little kid - you clean them up, make them look nice, but at the end of the day, they find a way to get dirty

Thanks for the compliments on the chassis Pete, I'm glad you like it.

Nice looking build. It looks like you've got the stock shocks working pretty good in the video.

Just adds more challenge and generally requires a little more wheelspeed to crawl over some obstacles.

Thanks for the castle pics too, keep em coming...truck and castle! Awesome crawling and hiking spots!!!

The bender chasis rocks! You need to upgrade the shocks to get the full effect of consistency.

I wish I had a place 1/2 as cool as that near me to crawl.

Thanks !

I upgraded to Maxx big bore shocks, they ride much better. I just need to change to softer springs.

Here maximum articulation:

Riding weight with batt-pack is (like on the picture above):4,8 lbs
Center Plate clearance is: 2,75 " (I want to keep it low, for the steep rocks)

Hope to get some more pictures of cars and castles soon....

Regards, Pete

Traxxas E-Maxx Big Bore Shocks.

Here´s a new vid, with the beetle body.
(Sorry for the camera, it was filmed by my 6 year old son, with frozen hands.... )

Beetle Crawl

Edit: Now it should work
