Default driveshaft question

I'm getting started on my tlt build and have a quick question. Do the jato shafts fit onto the output shaft from the axles or the metal yokes from traxxas or do I have to get stampede shafts? I've tried putting maxx shafts on the metal yokes but they seem too loose and prone to becoming disconnected. Any info will be appreciated.

i used the maxx sized shafts. If you drill a hole all the way through the outputs on the tranny, and the axle pinion, they will never fall off, and are super strong

it was extremely simple, since the metal is soft, i used a 3/32 size bit, it is a good fit, actually the bit is a little small, but you just need to round it out a litlle to make it fit. It was easy, oh yeah i started with a smaller bit at first to start the hole

I drilled my axle pinions as well,

Recommend taking the time and taking the axle apart and using a drill press, or at least setting it up right to use a hand drill

Like he said the metal is soft and u dont want to mess that up by drill it out wrong.

just what I did and havnt had any problems
