if you take your time, and listen to the people on this site- you will be just fine. measure twice; cut once. it looks as though Jeepernick just "eyeballed" everything.

but when you can look at something and KNOW it is going to break; why not prevent it?
Oh, I agree 100% pink. That's how I approach building any car. (I'm new to rock crawling, but started messing w/ rc cars in the early 80's)
Sure, it's a rough example. Like the chassis plate mods look like they were done with a machete, and the links are a little haphazard. But he's tryin'. It's cool that he's not content with what he has and is trying to come up with something different. That's how you learn.

So nothin' broke yet, jeepernick? That's great, pay attention to what it's doing and think about how to make it better...

UPDATE:

Nothing still has gone wrong, have been playing with it for the past days.

Yesterday, thanksgiving, tons of family and friends came over. let everyone drive it and let a 12 year old boy play with it and he smashed it around really good.

Works as good as it did and as good as it has, nothing broke yet

I have sence setup my 2.2 tires for comp, but still running the Nylints strong

I don't know why all you idiots say it will break. TLT axles are pretty strong. Just because he's running taller tires don't mean sh!t. A tire with more traction would be more prone to breaking stuff. Funny how all the nOObs like to give advice like they've been doing it for years.

Nick, thank's for the info.

Default Yeah!

Goshdangit! There is this thing called FUN...and Jeppernick is having it while some of you spend more time b**ching about it here than on the rocks.

Hell, I think I'm gonna try it :-P I've seen regular 2.2's break axles, so what the hell.

ROLL ON...axle shafts are cheep.

Jeep, I think it looks cool. Put a 1/10 scale body on it and post some new pics. The right sized body will make it look killer!
