Default I'm new to the forum and to the rc crawling world

I'm thinking building a tlt crawler with a custom made chassis. I'm planning on making a back halfed ladder frame(kind of a half ladder frame and a half tuber for those who might not know what I mean). here's what I sketched out on the computer. it is about 14" long and the wheelbase looks like it's going to be 10.5-11". any sugguestions or advice would be helpful. remember I'm a newbie so try not to be too hard me

I started with and 11" WB, but found the sweet spot to be 11.75"-12" with TLT's and Moabs. You wouldn't think that 3/4" would make that much difference, but it did
Looks good to me. What cab are U gona use?

I would Think about making the wheel base longer, more like 11.5-12.5".
Your idea seems good I'll be watching your build.

I have a old toyota hardbody just laying around I might use that. I plan to use the whole body and just cut the floor of the bed out

instead of using a tlt I thought about using the new HPI Wheely King. since I'm doing something different with the frame I want to try something new with the base truck. what do ya think?

I, as much as anyone else here, love seeing people think outside the poverbial (sp?) "box". Keep in mind- there is a reason why these certian model axles are used. New stuff comes out everyday; try it, let us know; take loads of pics, and have fun.

drawing looks cool- I wanna see something metal soon
