All the above pictures are from the same obstacle. It is one hell of a climb One thing I forgot to mention was that I have removed my front dig driveshaft disconntect. The driveshaft, after having the splines ground off, was just to weak and was snapping when it was in a bind. I'm waiting to see if the new R2 tranny w/ disconnect from RC4wd will hold up to abuse. Might be a future swap. these next 3 are from another obstacle with the new lizards |

officially brushless Installed the Crawlmaster and Mamba Max this morning and it is unbelievable. This is the first time I've played with a brushless setup and I like it. Took it out today for a quick test run before work and it worked really well. Going to take some getting used to but it is fun. New pinion gear came in this afternoon so I'm going to swap that out and see if it makes it better or worse. Also kept popping the u-joint out of the drive shafts it looks like time to upgrade those now. blurry pic of the torque montster....I tried to stall it out and it just kept on chugging unlike the lathe this is how I fixed my servo mount problems...twice the holding power. I also swapped in a towerpro 945 and the little more power that it has is really noticable showing off the front end bling and nice new paint job that probably won't last long new side skins.... |

this camera officially sucks....least it was free yhe chassis is a rustoleum metalic black. It came out a lot better then I expected. It almost looks like a really dark gunmetal gray and goes well with the gunmetal gray that is on the skins. did some wheeling today before going into work |

Finally got the trashed rear r&p replaced with RCP's new setup and took it out for a spin. I've also added wheel wrights to the front and while I was at it I put the mashers back on and did some grooving on them. They work awesome. Maybe I'll put a little more time into the lizards and see if I can get them to work as good.

Thanks a bunch for the compliments. It has been a ton of fun and as much as I liked my clod...this thing is much more fun Now if only I could stop snapping rear shafts. Guess I'll be saving up for CVD's in the rear. |

Finally got the RCP CVD's installed in the rear so this thing is finally bullet proof except for the driveshafts The lizzards were grabbing great today. I couldn't believe I was able to make a few of the climbs. The first picture is this neat climb where you have to make a sharp left turn and straddle a huge crack. At the bottom is some sloppy mud and the lizards were still able to pull the cruiser to the top. | |

Awesome looking rig, man. I've been kicking around the idea of something similiar. I want to build a tuber but I like the ones that run some kind of body the best. Excellent work!

| Rebuild time...
Time for a rebuild and by rebuild I mean scrap it and build a completely new one So after building 2 tubers and a few other RC's I wanted to try my hand at another tuber and I figured why not build another 100 Proof chassis and see if I can improve on it since it was my first attempt at a tube chassis. I had everything ready to build it and was planning on waiting till this past summer when I had time but a surprise call from DHS got me packing for the USBP academy a little sooner then I had figured. I decided then to go ahead and start building since I had only a few days left before I was long gone. In those 2 days I got almost the complete chassis finished except for the skid and tabs for mounting the skins. Long story short, it came out great and looks a whole lot better than the first try. I also replaced the transmission with a RC4wd R2 w/ dig since I have begun to toast the plastic housings on the old one. I am also running proline flatirons now. I'll have a few pics up in a minute. I need to make new side pannels since I fubard these while painting and then ran out of paint and I have a new hood I need to paint up for it. Also need to get a hold of the servo mount for the transmission and get that set up and she'll be good to go. |
