The pajero topic came up only like 3 weeks ago. Try searching a bit. You can do some stuff to it, but don't expect Clod/TXT/TLT/X-factor type performance, since it has independent suspension up front.

I highly doubt he did a SAS on it since he's asking how to make it into a crawler..... true n00bi-ness has been exposed. If he did do the SAS on the 'Jero then he should know how to modifiy it into a crawler.... hell, he'd be just about done. 'Jero has a solid axle in the rear, IFS up front. The Pajero can never be a crawler, at least not at the same level as a TLT, TXT or any other solid axle truck. If someone were to take a 'Jero and swap in Bruiser/Hi-Lux axles(front and rear) that'd be a sweet setup because it'd look a bit more real than swaping in a TLT front or a TLT axle into the rear. | |

fourlink the rear and lift the front, that will make it a 100% SCALE crawler, but it wont be the best, it will crawl well on scale rocks but thats all, i know a GREAT site that is 100% scale jeros so PM me if you want the link...

If you have enough time and don't care that it looks like a lawnmower ran it over you can do wonders with hacking. http://www.rcpics.net/img/48236 This little guy can keep up with my clod to a point. I'm not talking monster rocks but it handles its fair share.

Pajeros can be decent crawlers. 4 link the rear, add longer shocks all the way around on custom towers, 2.2" tires, lathe motor or even GD600 gear reduction, and you have yourself a fun crawler. It wont be as capable as a TLT modded crawler, but who cares? For a Pajero, it'll rock. Go over to RCJIMS place and go to the Cross Country (Pajero) forum. TONS of info. Heck, my Pajero had Savage shocks in the rear, cut to hell chassis and a gear reduction on 2.2's and it was a blast! Ryan PS: A Pajero could never have a solid front axle and still be a pajero. The tranny design simply does not allow for a front output without MAJOR modding, and by then, why not just build a TLT? |
